It's a Peach of a Celebration as Niagara-on-the-Lake pays tribute to the growers and those who promote fresh peaches. Two full days of activities:

Saturday August 10, 2013

11 am to 4:30 pm  -- Heritage District: Queen Street between King and Victoria Streets will be closed to vehicular traffic as we celebrate the peach harvest with a day of live music, historic displays, entertainment, fun and lots of Greenbelt-grown peaches.  Admission is free.

5 pm - 10 pm -- The Peach Celebration continues, as Queen Street turns into a Night Market, with local merchants showcasing products from tents.

Enjoy live music from the five piece band, Il Poco Latino, wonderful food samples from the Signature Kitchen restaurants of Escabeche (Prince of Wales Hotel); Cannery (Pillar and Post); Tiara (Queens Landing), and Peller Estate Winery Restaurant, accompanied with wines from Reif Estate Winery, Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, Peller and Trius and local beer from Oast Brewers.


Sunday August 11, 2013

10 am to 3:30 pm -- St Vincent de Paul Church hosts the Peach Festival on Picton Street. Great fun for all:

 -Kids corner with face painting, balloon animals, reptiles, a clown and crafts
-Pig Out hamburgers and hot dogs
-Linda and Jackie providing live entertainment (singing and playing guitar)
-A Jewelry table
-A Bake table
-Various peach items for sale, including peach punch, peach crepes, peach jam, peach pies, and peach sundaes

10 am to 5 pm -- Landmark Shops of Niagara-on-the-Lake present their unique and special value merchandise from tents on Queen Street, between Victoria and Regent Streets.

7 pm to 11 pm -- 1,000 guests sit down to enjoy the Shades of Summer dinner, held outdoors on Queen Street between King and Regent Streets. All tables of eight, pre-dressed in white linen -- all tables are reserved in advance, so book yours online today. Tables are $240 each. Pre-ordered meals can be selected from Signature Kitchen Restaurants or you may be bring your own creations; all wine and beer must be ordered from our website. The moonlight, heritage setting and live swing/jazz music from a seven piece band will set the mood -- join us as we celebrate the Peach Harvest!
