Overlooking Lake Ontario and the oldest golf course in Canada, the Oban Inn & OSpa is a proud member of Ontario's Finest Inns and recipient of the CAA/AAA Four Diamond award for excellence in accommodations and dining. The town's original country inn, the Oban has a rich history dating back to 1824 when Captain Duncan Milloy of Oban, Scotland built this landmark property as his private home. A devastating fire on Christmas Day of 1992 completely destroyed the property leaving only the foundation. Re-created as a replica of the former Inn, the Oban Inn again opened its doors in November of 1993 welcoming guests back to its grace and understated charm while proudly continuing the tradition of unparalleled hospitality. In 2005 the inn saw a significant transformation, welcoming the OSpa - a unique facility dedicated to the health, well-being and vitality of its guests. Now, a celebrated wellness retreat, the Oban Inn & OSpa is a tranquil sanctuary with twenty-six newly renovated and beautifully appointed guest rooms. Surrounded by delightful ponds and luxuriant English gardens, the inn offers guests countless amenities, some of which include state-of-the-art exercise facilities, outdoor lap pool and hot spring, steam room, Oban Inn Restaurant, intimate conference and wedding facilities, and of course, the full service OSpa, which welcomes hotel and day guests alike.
