The house was built in about 1870 and retains much of its original charm but has been tastefully renovated to include the conveniences of today. There is off-street parking for 5 cars, a private courtyard with gas BBQ and a large lawn with several Muskoka chairs for afternoon reading and evening wine tasting. On the main floor you will find a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher plus all the tools to make a gourmet meal. The dining table will seat 8 in comfort as will the large living room. The den is well stocked with books and has a stereo system as well as a large TV with cable and a huge selection of vintage videos. On the main floor you will also find a washer and dryer and half bath. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms, One bedroom "the Lakeview Suite" that yes has a lake view, comes with its own three-piece bath. Two of the other bedrooms have queen beds, the fourth has 2 single beds. The main bathroom upstairs has a shower, and a large bathtub. All beds have down filled duvets for winter and lightweight duvets for summer. The house has central AC as well as Wi-Fi. Queen Street is a short block away as is Queens Royal Park and the mouth of the Niagara River. You will hear revelry played every morning in the summer from Fort Niagara on the US side. Rates apply to 8 guests. A $25 per night charge will be added for a maximum of two additional guests. The rate includes cleaning. Basic supplies are included, paper products, coffee filters as well as salt and pepper. A two night minimum stay is required year round unless otherwise negotiated. |
