Effective Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the government is issuing a province-wide Stay-at-Home order requiring everyone to remain at home except for essential purposes, such as going to the grocery store or pharmacy, accessing health care services (including getting vaccinated), for outdoor exercise , or for work that cannot be done remotely. More information here. Restaurants will be open for take-out dining only and retail shops are able to have offer curbside pick up only.

Candlelight Stroll

There will be a quick ceremony outside the Old Courthouse. Includes an introduction to Devon Botbyl recipient who has been chosen to receive the proceeds from the candle sales and candle lighting ceremony. To learn more about Devon and hid story please click here

Candles can be purchased at anytime leading up to the stroll from the Chamber office at 26 Queen St which is open 7 days a week 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The night of the stroll candles can be purchased at several candle stalls located on Queen St starting at 5:00 pm. Candles will also be sold in the Fort George parking lot for those parking there and using the complimentary shuttle into town.

Candles are $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00 and all proceeds will be donated to the chosen
recipient (s)

The stroll begins which is led by 2 horse drawn carriages.
People will follow behind the carriages and can stop along the route to listen to several different choirs/bands. A beautiful way to start the holiday season and we look forward to seeing you there!
PARKING & COMPLIMENTARY SHUTTLE
Parking available at Fort George which is easily accessible from the Niagara Parkway at 51 Queens Parade.
There will be a complimentary shuttle running from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm to the Courthouse. Or, it's just a 6 min walk to the Courthouse from there for the start of the Stroll.
You can also purchase your candles there at The Visitors Centre found in the centre of the parking lot. Food donations for Newark Neighbours can also be taken there.

Please bring a non-perishable food item in support of Newark Neighbours. Newark Neighbours provides Christmas Hampers for over 50 families in the area.
