29th Annual Candlelight Stroll

29th Annual Candlelight Stroll - Friday, Nov 30th 6:30pm: 

A guided stroll winding through the historical town, accompanied by local choirs and seasonal entertainment. Info at 905-468-1950. www.niagaraonthelake.com.

The stroll begins at the Old Courthouse building located at 26 Queen Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake.
There is plenty of parking available at Fort George for that evening. It is easily accessible from the Niagara Parkway at 51 Queens Parade. There will be a complementary shuttle running from 4:30 pm till 9:30 pm from Fort George to the Court House or it is just a 6 min walk to the Court House for the start of the Stroll. You can also purchase your candles at The Visitors Centre found in the centre of the parking lot. Food donations for Newark Neighbours can also be left at this location.

Candle Stalls will be set up the evening of the stroll starting at 5:00 pm. You can also leave your food donations for Newark Neighbours at the Candle Stalls.
The Stalls will be located out front of the following stores on Queen St :
Bella Grace (corner of Queen St and King St)
Just Christmas
Ten Thousand Villages (corner of Queen St and Regent St)
Versions (corner of Queen St and Regent St)
The Stagecoach Restaurant (corner of Queen St and Regent St)
Wine Country Vintners

Candles are 1 for $3.00 or 2 for $5.00. Proceeds from candle sales are in support of p
roceeds from the candle sales are in support youth mental health in our community by putting in "Buddy Benches" at our four local Elementary Schools. A "Buddy Bench" will be placed at Crossroads, Saint Michael , Royal Oak and St. Davids schools. The bench will be a strong symbol of inclusion and kindness, encouraging all children to both reach out when they need help (or just a friend to talk to) and to respond when they see another child asking for that assistance.

There will be wonderful performances from over 15 Choirs and Musicians from all over the Niagara Region. Thank you to all of the performers for donating their time for this event.

Please bring a non-perishable food item in support of Newark Neighbours. This organization provides Christmas Hampers for over 50 families in the area. They are in need of some items for the hampers including:
*Canned salmon / tuna
*Canned stew
*Canned chili
*Canned chunky soup - beef / chicken
*Canned spaghetti sauce
*Cake mix
*Toothpaste and toiletries for both men and women
* new toys for children of various ages
