Description
Historic English Country home, Circa 1820, features a heated private pool and is located one block from Queen Street in the heritage district of town. Avalon is less than a 2 mintue walk to the Shaw Theatres, fine shops, the lake, golf course and world class dining. It features a heated, private pool, 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a huge gourmet, country kitchen and two fireplaces. This charming house which has been tastefully restored, is partially covered on one side in Trumpet Vine and English roses. It has been beautifully furnished and features hand knotted area rugs and many fine antiques from the area. There are original wide plank pine floors throughout the home and exposed wooden beams dating back to when the house was built in 1820. Although full of original charm, respecting the homes history, Avalon is well equipped with all modern amenities such as a brand new Thermador cooktop and KitchenAid stainless steel wall oven, dishwasher, high speed internet access, washer and dryer, central air conditioning, and 2 fireplaces. The large Family room is a great gathering place with plenty of comfortable seating, gas fireplace with antique mantle and a flat screen TV. The French doors overlook the pool, the professionally landscaped garden, the sun deck and the dining area. The gas BBQ is connected to the house so that there is no need for propane. The house is thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival and upon departure. All linens and towels are provided. Avalon is within walking distance of our other 3 homes listed on this site, Simcoe Pines, Aylesbury Manor and Amberlea House. Please see our website for more details and photos.
