This Mother’s Day weekend, Niagara-on-the-Lake transforms into a floral-filled escape. From May 8 – 11, join us for the Niagara-on-the-Lake In Bloom Festival, four days of vibrant floral installations, garden experiences and seasonal charm.
Inspired by London’s Chelsea Flower Show, but infused with our signature heritage charm, the 2026 festival celebrates the theme “All Creatures BIG and Small”. Wander through the historic town core as over 13,000 tulips line the streets and more than 30 whimsical floral installations, from larger-than-life giraffes and zebras to delicate garden forest friends, bring our town’s corners to life.
Whether you’re visiting for Mother’s Day, a gardener looking for inspiration from experts like Frankie Flowers or simply enjoying a weekend getaway, here’s how to make the most out of your visit.
Exploring the Town: The Floral Installation Trail
This year’s festival is larger than ever, with over 30 unique floral installations designed by local artists. A stroll down Queen Street, from Zees Grill & Wine Bar to The Charles Hotel offers some of the festivals most vibrant displays.
Highlights include:
Animal-inspired installations at Niagara's Finest Thai and Prince of Wales Hotel
Creative storefront designs at 124 on Queen Hotel and Irish Design
For more to experience, visit the Monet-inspired Gardens at Pillar and Post or venture out along the wine route to discover installations at McFarland House, Bella Terra Vineyards, and the Niagara-on-the-Lake Museum.
