More information here. Restaurants will be open for take-out dining only and retail shops are able to have offer curbside pick up only.

The Solar Eclipse in Niagara-on-the-Lake
Experience a once-in-a-lifetime celestial spectacle in the tranquil town of Niagara-on-the-Lake on April 8th, 2024. Nestled amidst picturesque vineyards and exuding charm, this serene locale will be the stage for a rare and extraordinary event - a Total Solar Eclipse. As the moon gracefully moves between the sun and the Earth, casting its shadow over the region, both locals and visitors will have the unique chance to witness this awe-inspiring phenomenon. It's worth noting that Niagara has not been graced by a Total Solar Eclipse since 1979, and the next opportunity for Ontario won't occur until 2044!

Solar Eclipse at Wayne Gretzky Estates
Experience a once-in-a-lifetime event at Wayne Gretzky Estates on Monday, April 8th, 2024, as they invite you to witness something extraordinary during the Solar Eclipse. Attendees will be provided with a ticket that grants access to the Wine Garden Lawn, offering an unobstructed view of the eclipse, along with protective solar spectacles. Additionally, guests will receive a branded black glass of Gretzky Brut to take home, an amuse-bouche, and a drink ticket upon arrival. Join the NOTL Museum and Dr. Pihack for an evening of information, explaining how to best
watch this event, and safely so.
Dr. Pihack has been presenting lectures for over two decades on Astronomy, Geology and Paleontology.
A former National representative to the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, who presented him with the Award of Merit Medal. Admission is free for Museum members or $10 for non-members.
